Below are Testimonials from some of the student transformations.
The first time I walked into Grass Valley CrossFit, I hadn’t worked out a day in my entire life. I was 27. I had no idea what I was doing in a gym, and I felt ridiculous. Brandon greeted me with a smile and assured me this was something I could do. I was skeptical, but open to giving it a try. The workouts were hard. I was sore. I was bad at every movement. I felt completely embarrassed struggling to squat with a pvc pipe, falling forward and backward. I spent about two months wondering why in the world anyone would every want to perform a “snatch”. It seemed impossible.
I kept coming back because the people I met were so kind. Everyone was kind to me. They knew what I was going through; they had been there too. They celebrated every tiny step forward I made. At the end of a workout when everyone had finished and I was sweating and struggling to finish alone, no one scoffed at me. They came over and cheered me on. After three months of struggling 2 times per week, I decided to kick it up to five days a week and see what my body was capable of. The progress was undeniable. I never thought I would become an ‘athlete’ after 26 years of nothing, but it happened; and it was a direct result of this amazing community of caring, understanding, and kind people.
Thank you all, I love you, and I miss you so much!

Hi Brandon! I am living in Austin and it’s working out well. I wanted to write to you to let you know that I have continued doing Crossfit, and am deeply grateful for the good start that you gave me. If you recall, I started about mid-January of 2019 with you, then left in May when I moved to Austin. It took me a few months to settle in with my new surroundings and job, but I started at a box here in August of last year. I really love Crossfit! I did it via Zoom when we were quarantined (see photo), but it opened back in May, and I go five days a week.
My body is much improved since I first saw you in January of last year! I am very happy with the results, and know that I am much stronger and healthier. I can’t thank you enough for starting me off the way you did!
Much love and appreciation,
